The linepipe protector has a closed-end design that keeps the inside of the pipe clean and dries, thus also preserving the integrity of any internal coating. Air vents are situated in the end of the line pipe protector to avoid any pressure build-up.

The liftalbe type line pipe protectors have a recessed end which allows use of lifting hooks without causing damage to pipe ends.
